The highly anticipated Tokyo Olympics are just days away and 11 former, current and future University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa student-athletes<\/a> will represent six different nations in three different sports at the games.<\/p>\n

UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa will have four representatives on Australia’s softball team\u2014Rachel Lack<\/strong>, Kaia Parnaby<\/strong>, Stacey Porter<\/strong> and Clare Warwick<\/strong>. This is the first Olympics with softball since 2008.<\/p>\n

Former and current water polo student-athletes Monika Eggens<\/strong> (Canada), Elyse Lemay-Lavoie<\/strong> (Canada), Dagmar Genee<\/strong> (Netherlands), Maartje Keuning<\/strong> (Netherlands), Irene Gonzalez Lopez<\/strong> (Spain) and Jordan Wedderburn<\/strong> (South Africa) will compete in Tokyo. Incoming freshman Wedderburn and South Africa will be making the nation’s first-ever appearance at the Summer Olympics in water polo.<\/p>\n

The lone male student athlete, Micah Masei<\/strong>, will represent American Samoa in swimming. The recent graduate competes in the breaststroke and freestyle.<\/p>\n
