This is the 22nd year <abbr>PBN<\/abbr> has selected its 40 Under 40 list.<\/p>\n<p>Criteria for the award include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrate business excellence and contribute to the overall success at his or her business or organization<\/li>\n<li>Stand out amongst peers and colleagues<\/li>\n<li>Strong current and past community involvement<\/li>\n<li>Must be 39 years of age or younger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Perez Hults is the director of marketing and outreach relations for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eng.hawaii.edu\/\">College of Engineering<\/a>. Working under the dean and as part of the leadership team, she is responsible for developing and executing the college&#8217;s strategic marketing plan, which includes communications, media support, major event planning, external relations, recruitment, K&#8211;12 outreach and the student ambassador program. Outside of her role at the university, she also supports her family&#8217;s small business for watersports instruction and recently co-launched a nonprofit club to develop emerging windsports athletes in <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Being honored as a 40 Under 40 has long been a dream of mine,&rdquo; Perez Hults said. &ldquo;I&#8217;m beyond humbled to be included in this cohort of amazing local professionals spanning a diverse range of industries. I am proud to represent <abbr>UH<\/abbr> in the 2021 class and will forever be grateful for this recognition.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Mordasini is the senior director of alumni and external relations for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shidler.hawaii.edu\/\">Shidler College of Business<\/a>. She is responsible for overseeing alumni relations for the Shidler College and <a href=\"https:\/\/tim.hawaii.edu\/\">School of Travel Industry Management<\/a>, in addition to the college\u2019s overall marketing, public relations, fundraising and college events, as well as outreach and communications. Outside of work, she serves on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cochawaii.org\/\">Chamber of Commerce Hawaii<\/a>\u2019s Young Professionals steering committee and is a certified yoga instructor.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It is truly an honor and privilege to be recognized among some of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s most promising young professionals,&rdquo; Mordasini said. &ldquo;I am sincerely humbled by the nomination, and wish a heartfelt congratulations to my fellow 40 Under 40 2021 cohort.
