UH<\/abbr> Cancer Center<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Research by teams at the University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Cancer Center<\/a> was well represented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology\u2019s (ASCO<\/abbr>) annual conference, held virtually June 4–8. <\/p>\n

ASCO<\/abbr> is a diverse network of oncology professionals, whose mission is to conquer cancer through research, education and promotion of the highest quality of patient care. Eight abstracts by UH<\/abbr> Cancer Center researchers were presented at the conference.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s exciting to have this many researchers being recognized for their important work. It\u2019s an honor to be recognized by ASCO<\/abbr>, and this just goes to show how impactful our research at the UH<\/abbr> Cancer Center really is,” said UH<\/abbr> Cancer Center Director Randall Holcombe<\/strong>. “All of these projects address cancer among Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>\u2019s unique racial and ethnic populations, which may benefit minority and underserved groups all over the world.”<\/p>\n

UH<\/abbr> Cancer Center research projects for which abstracts were selected were led by Jared Acoba<\/strong>, Jeffrey Berenberg<\/strong>, Jami Fukui<\/strong> and Izumi Okado<\/strong>. <\/p>\n
