Kornmesser)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Since its discovery in 2017, the interstellar object <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2019\/07\/02\/natural-origin-for-oumuamua\/\"><span aria-label=\"Oumuamua\">&#699;Oumuamua<\/span><\/a> has wowed and puzzled the world. The webinar will highlight findings gathered by Meech\u2019s team and pinpoint what makes <span aria-label=\"Oumuamua\">&#699;Oumuamua<\/span> so unique.<\/abbr><\/p>\n<p>The livestream event is open to the public. An expert on comets, she was co-investigator on three <abbr title=\"National Aeronautics and Space Administration\">NASA<\/abbr> missions: Deep Impact, EPOXI and Stardust-NExT. Trained at Rice and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she has won numerous awards, including the Annie Jump Cannon Award, the Harold C.
