This semester, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.honolulu.hawaii.edu\/\">Honolulu Community College<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.hawaii.edu\/\">William S. Richardson School of Law<\/a> at the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa are partnering to host the speaker series Voices of Justice.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The ideal of &lsquo;justice&rsquo; is a cornerstone on which rule-of-law societies are built, and where human flourishing resides,&rdquo; said <strong>Bill Corbett<\/strong>, a Honolulu <abbr title=\"Community College\">CC<\/abbr> administration of justice faculty member. &ldquo;A special trust and confidence is reserved for those who serve the mission of upholding that ideal.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Preparing students with knowledge that will ready them for a vocation in the law is the school\u2019s highest priority,&rdquo; said <strong>Camille Nelson<\/strong>, dean of the William S. Richardson School of Law, who will be one of the series\u2019 featured speakers. &ldquo;The commitment to a life of purpose is real, the justice-seeking is core to the fabric of the institution.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The speakers, who include judges, scholars, advocates, victims, diplomats and law enforcement officials, have intimately experienced justice, in the majesty of its delivery and the tragedy of its denial.<\/p>\n<p>The webinar series starts January 27 at 2 p.m. with Rushan Abbas, the founding Director of Campaign for Uyghurs, an advocacy group seeking redress for human rights abuses being perpetrated against the ethnic minority population of China\u2019s Xinjiang province.
