All gifts made on December 1, were counted during the 24-hour event.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhfoundation.org\"><abbr>UH<\/abbr> Foundation<\/a> Vice President of Advancement and <abbr title=\"Chief Executive Officer\">CEO<\/abbr> <strong>Tim Dolan<\/strong> said, &ldquo;We are tremendously grateful to everyone who participated in our inaugural <abbr>UH<\/abbr> Giving Tuesday campaign and made it such a success! Every gift makes a difference, and shows our students that they matter. It began as an American day of philanthropy and giving in response to the consumerism of Black Friday and the holidays.
