Novotny, a professor in the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/cms.ctahr.hawaii.edu\/hnfas\">Department of Human Nutrition, Food and Animal Sciences<\/a> in the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, has adapted a 20-pound turkey stuffing recipe from the <em>Joy of Cooking<\/em> cookbook for her family\u2019s annual meal. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The stuffing tends to be a favorite part of the meal and is usually the first bowl to be emptied,&rdquo; said Novotny.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Turkey stuffing recipe:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Chop<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Turkey Giblets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Saute<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 T butter<\/li>\n<li>One white or yellow onion, chopped <\/li>\n<li>Add chopped giblets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mix<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8 cups bread crumbs<\/li>\n<li>1\u20442 cup chopped celery <\/li>\n<li>Fresh rosemary from a 10-inch sprig <\/li>\n<li>1 cup chopped walnuts <\/li>\n<li>Add this stuffing mixture to cooked giblets and onions and mix <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"blocklink\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/tag\/uh-holiday-recipes\/\">See more <abbr>UH<\/abbr>-mazing holiday recipes<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Add to stuffing mixture and mix in<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\u20444 cup milk <\/li>\n<li>2 eggs <\/li>\n<li>Stuff turkey (about a 20 lb turkey) with the stuffing mixture front and back and close with a large wooden toothpick. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cook the turkey on the grill, covered.
