The effort arose from the Native Hawaiian &amp; Pacific Islander <abbr>COVID-19<\/abbr> Response, Recovery, and Resilience Team, and is supported by the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> at M&#257;noa <a href=\"http:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/publichealth\/\">Office of Public Health Studies<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.papaolalokahi.org\/\">Papa Ola L&#333;kahi<\/a> and the <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> State Department of Health.<\/p>\n<p>The TikTok-style video challenge was launched by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/nextgenhawaii\/?modal=admin_todo_tour\">Next Gen <span aria-label=\"Hawaii,\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½,<\/span><\/a> a collaboration of organizations involved in the state&#8217;s <abbr>COVID-19<\/abbr> response efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Many <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">UH<\/abbr> M&#257;noa public health students and graduates have participated.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The public health ambassadors bring creative energy to public health messaging around topics such as mask wearing, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CHq1ajNjrRb\/\">staying together over distances<\/a> and flu shots,&rdquo; said <strong>Tetine Sentell<\/strong>, director of the Office of Public Health Studies.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They are social influencers with important information to share.
