James Yoshida<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

James Yoshida<\/strong> of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Community College<\/a> was honored with the Willard Wilson Award for Distinguished Service<\/a> for 2012.<\/p>\n

The Willard Wilson Award award recognizes exemplary service to the university by a UH<\/abbr> employee. It was established by the Board of Regents in 1969 to honor the long-time UH<\/abbr> employee and secretary to the board.<\/p>\n

Yoshida’s colleagues describe him as a man who wears many hats with integrity and dedication.<\/p>\n

He currently serves as the vice chancellor for administrative affairs<\/a> at Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> CC<\/abbr> where he started as a faculty member in 1984.<\/p>\n

Yoshida has taught marketing, management courses and computer-related courses such as networking, wireless security, web design and computer applications. He has also taken temporary assignments as registrar, institutional researcher, division chairman, interim dean and vice chancellor.<\/p>\n

Yoshida was born and raised on Maui. He received a BBA<\/abbr> in management and a MEd<\/abbr> in educational administration from UH<\/abbr> Mānoa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When he has the time, Yoshida says he enjoys traveling and working in the yard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
