The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaiicenterfornursing.org\"><span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> State Center for Nursing<\/a> (<abbr>HSCN<\/abbr>) housed in the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa <a href=\"http:\/\/nursing.hawaii.edu\">School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene<\/a> is part of this collaborative effort with the state.<\/p>\n<p>All available nurses, including spring and summer 2020 graduates from a licensed practical nurse program, associate\u2019s degree or bachelor\u2019s degree program in nursing, and graduate entry program in nursing students who completed their prelicensure year of education in August 2020, are encouraged to respond to this call for employment by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/HRNVLM7\">completing the recruitment survey<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/stethoscope-generic-2-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"stethoscope\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-125943\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/stethoscope-generic-2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/stethoscope-generic-2-130x73.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/stethoscope-generic-2.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Immediate staffing needs include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Long term care<\/li>\n<li>Medical surgical<\/li>\n<li>Telemetry<\/li>\n<li><abbr title=\"intensive care unit\">ICU<\/abbr> and critical care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All recent graduates, even if they have not yet taken the <abbr title=\"National Council Licensure Examination for Licensed Practical Nurses\">NCLEX-PN<\/abbr> or <abbr title=\"National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses\">NCLEX-RN<\/abbr> licensing exams, are needed to work in a variety of nursing roles, and not necessarily with <abbr>COVID-19<\/abbr> patients.<\/p>\n<p>The state has waived license requirements during the emergency proclamation period to allow new nursing graduates to work to their full scope of practice immediately upon graduation.
