Timothy Dye<\/strong>, professor of obstetrics, gynecology and women’s Health at University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>’s John A. Burns School of Medicine<\/a> has been appointed editor-in-chief of the Maternal and Child Health Journal<\/em>, published by Springer.<\/p>\n

Dye’s career in maternal and child health (MCH<\/abbr>) has spanned multiple levels from local to global organizations, leading field teams in MCH<\/abbr> research and training throughout the United States and in more than 20 countries worldwide. Dye’s research and teaching interests focus on the social determinants of maternal and child health, global health disparities, perinatal epidemiology and informatics.<\/p>\n

Dye received the APHA<\/abbr> MCH<\/abbr> Section’s Young Professional Award in 2001, and a variety of other awards from National Science Foundation, Medical Education Cooperation in Cuba and the Fulbright Program. <\/p>\n

Thomson Reuters’s 2011 Journal Citation Reports\u00ae<\/em> ranks the Maternal and Child Health Journal<\/em> in the top quartile of all public, environmental and occupational health journals.<\/p>\n
