Brandon Baca<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Two outstanding University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Hilo<\/a> men\u2019s soccer players have been recognized as the Pepsi Seniors for the week of May 24–30.<\/p>\n

Vulcan defender Brandon Baca<\/strong> was a part of the Vulcans soccer program for four seasons. Baca is one of six seniors who graduated “virtually” last weekend. At this spring\u2019s men\u2019s soccer Zoom banquet, Baca was presented with the program\u2019s Vulcan Award, given to the player that is a great teammate and exemplifies the highest level of character. Baca graduated with a degree in marine science.<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper Selvin Sandoval<\/strong> came to the Vulcan men\u2019s soccer program in 2018 after redshirting for one season at American International College. He played in four matches as a junior, including a starting role against regional power Point Loma, recording 10 saves in the match. Sandoval graduated from UH<\/abbr> Hilo with a degree in kinesiology and exercise science and plans to attend Cal State University Dominguez Hills to pursue a teaching certificate.<\/p>\n
