Out of an abundance of caution, we remind our entire <abbr>UH<\/abbr> community that any travel to and from <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>, including within the United States, may be restricted on short notice. If you are on authorized or personal travel when this happens, you may be delayed in returning to <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Please check the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/travelers\/index.html\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (<abbr>CDC<\/abbr>) travel advisory page<\/a> for the latest updates.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhfoundation.org\/give\/giving-opportunity\/covid-19\">Support the <abbr>UH<\/abbr> Student Relief fund and COVID-19 research<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>TRAVEL FROM <span aria-label=\"HAWAII\">HAWAI&#699;I<\/span> <\/h2>\n<p><strong><abbr>CDC<\/abbr> Level 3 Countries<\/strong>: Any <abbr>UH<\/abbr>-sponsored travel by students and employees to <abbr>CDC<\/abbr> Level 3 countries is not authorized. As of this message, Level 3 countries are China, South Korea, Italy and Iran.<\/p>\n<p><strong><abbr>CDC<\/abbr> Level 2 Countries<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employees:  Any <abbr>UH<\/abbr>-sponsored travel to <abbr>CDC<\/abbr> Level 2 countries is not authorized, unless approval is received from your respective <abbr>UH<\/abbr> Officer.  If travel was arranged prior to a country receiving a Level 2 designation, then your respective <abbr>UH<\/abbr> Officer must approve before departure.<\/li>\n<li>Students:\n<ul>\n<li>Any <abbr>UH<\/abbr>-sponsored travel by individual students to <abbr>CDC<\/abbr> Level 2 countries is not authorized unless approval is received from your <abbr>UH<\/abbr> Officer.<\/li>\n<li>Any <abbr>UH<\/abbr>-sponsored travel by student groups to <abbr>CDC<\/abbr> Level 2 countries is not authorized.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><abbr>UH<\/abbr> Officers are the <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Provost, <abbr>UH<\/abbr> Hilo Chancellor, <abbr>UH<\/abbr> West O\u2018ahu Chancellor, Vice President for Community Colleges, all other Vice Presidents, and the President.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As of this message, Japan is the only Level 2 country.<\/p>\n<h2>TRAVEL INTO <span aria-label=\"HAWAII\">HAWAI&#699;I<\/span>: Visitors, Students and Employees<\/h2>\n<p>Once an individual\u02bbs entry into the State of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> is cleared by the government, visitors and returning students and employees are welcomed on all of our campuses. No additional restrictions are required beyond what is already mandated by government authorities.
