Two basketball standouts who are no strangers to the University of Â鶹´«Ã½ at Hilo Pepsi Athlete of the Week Award are back again this week after outstanding performances on the road in wins over Holy Names.

Kupaʻa Harrison did it again with his last second heroics. The 6-foot-5 forward beat Holy Names with a game-winner for the second time this year, helping the Vulcans to their first road win of the season. With six seconds left from about 10 feet away, Harrison scored a three-pointer shot to defeat Holy Names. He had 27 points and nine rebounds in the 62-61 win. He has now captured six Pepsi Athlete awards this year.

Allie Navarette continues to rewrite old UH Hilo athletic records every time she takes the court. In Monday’s 67-50 road victory over Holy Names, the 6-foot junior broke three records, one of them her own. She had 34 points to tie the UH Hilo single-game mark, grabbed 19 rebounds to best her previous mark of 18, and she was perfect at the free throw line at 12-for-12 to move to the top of that ladder. This is Navarette’s fifth Pepsi crown this year, and her second in a row.
