Nick Rolovich<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa head football coach Nick Rolovich<\/strong> has informed UH<\/abbr> officials that he has accepted the head coach position at Washington State University.<\/p>\n

Rolovich returned to lead his alma mater at the end of 2015, succeeding Norm Chow.<\/p>\n

“Nick called me tonight to inform me that he accepted the Washington State job. Our football team is in a better place because of Nick, and we wish him all the best. Our search for our next head coach begins immediately,” UH<\/abbr> Mānoa Athletics Director David Matlin<\/strong> said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Rolovich ends his time at UH<\/abbr> 28-27 in his career as Â鶹´«Ã½\u2019s<\/span> head coach, including a 15-17 record in the Mountain West. He also led Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> to a division title and its first appearance in the Mountain West Conference Championship this past season. The Rainbow Warriors went to three Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> Bowls, winning two, during his four years at UH<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n

The Washington State job opened when former Cougars coach Mike Leach left the school to accept the head coaching position at Mississippi State.<\/p>\n
