Faculty Advisor, <strong>Michael Bauer<\/strong> and co-advisor <strong>Allan Nebrija<\/strong>, led the inductees in the oath and welcomed all into the honor society alongside Chancellor <strong>Carlos Pe&#241;aloza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The newest members of Leeward\u2019s <abbr>PTK<\/abbr> are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Merriam Cook Conte<\/strong>, who plans to pursue a bachelor\u2019s degree in Hawaiian and indigenous health and healing at the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tara Hartley<\/strong> who will transfer to <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa next year where she\u2019ll work toward a double major in psychology and social work.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tatiana Lee<\/strong>, an elementary education major that wants to earn a bachelor\u2019s degree in teacher education.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mary Lewis<\/strong> whose educational goal is to earn a master\u2019s degree in human resources management.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kaumakaonalani &ldquo;Maka&rdquo; Medeiros<\/strong>, who plans on earning her bachelor\u2019s degree with a concentration in sustainable community food systems at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Royce Nagai<\/strong>, a psychology and anthropology graduate from <abbr>UH<\/abbr> West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span> who is currently fulfilling his prerequisite classes at Leeward.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tierry Roboman<\/strong>, a double major in business technology and liberal arts who wishes to own her own business one day.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reina Sepulveda<\/strong>, an aspiring registered nurse specializing in geriatrics who is completing her prerequisite courses for the nursing program at <span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr title=\"Community College\">CC<\/abbr>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Katrina Spencer<\/strong> who will pursue a bachelor\u2019s degree at <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa in creative media with a minor in Japanese.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jostine Stanley<\/strong> who plans to obtain a bachelor\u2019s degree in psychology.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Christine Vanterpool<\/strong>, the first in her family to finish college, who intends to pursue a degree in psychology.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Weiqi Wang<\/strong>, a freshman at <span aria-label=\"Waianae\">Wai&#699;anae<\/span> Moku who wants to earn a bachelor&#8217;s degree in business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society of two-year colleges, whose mission is to recognize academic achievement of college students and to provide opportunities for them to grow as scholars and leaders.
