The statement was issued at the board\u2019s November 21, 2019 meeting at the <span aria-label=\"Kauai\">Kaua&#699;i<\/span> Community College after the regents met in executive session.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We acknowledge the significance of the position of the President of the University as a community and state leader, and we hold this position and its responsibilities with high expectations. We acknowledge that we have significant challenges and opportunities ahead that are shared by both the President and the Board.
