The University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> Board of Regents<\/a> (BOR<\/abbr>) approved a $28.1 million, supplementary operating budget request on November 21, that includes the university\u2019s priority initiatives of expanding the Âé¶¹´«Ã½<\/span> Promise Scholarship Program to UH<\/abbr>\u2019s four-year campuses, increasing mental health services across the 10-campus system and educational and cultural programming for those who work and visit Maunakea.<\/p>\n

The regents approved the budget at its monthly meeting held at Kauaʻi<\/span> Community College. The budget request will be submitted to the governor\u2019s office for consideration in the proposed executive budget for the upcoming legislative session that begins January 15, 2020. The university also submits its BOR<\/abbr> approved budget request directly to the Legislature.<\/p>\n
