The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at M\u0101noa<\/a> Student Media<\/a> programs won College Media Association<\/a> (CMA<\/abbr>) and Associated Collegiate Press<\/a> (ACP<\/abbr>) Awards at #collegemedia19, the ACP<\/abbr>\/CMA<\/abbr> Fall National College Media Convention held in Washington, D.C.<\/abbr> from October 31 to November 3.<\/p>\n

The programs, consisting of Ka Leo O Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span><\/em>, KTUH<\/abbr> 90.3, Hawaii Review<\/em> and UH<\/abbr> Productions, were recognized during the CMA<\/abbr> Pinnacle Awards, ACP<\/abbr> Individual Awards and the CMA<\/abbr> Film and Audio Festival.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s an honor for Ka Leo<\/em> to be recognized for their editorial work,” said Ka Leo O Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span><\/em> Editor in Chief Chavonnie Ramos<\/strong>. “We will continue to strive to be a relevant news source not only for University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> students, but throughout the community as well.”<\/p>\n

UH<\/abbr> Productions General Manager Wesley Honda<\/strong>, shared his support for the Student Media programs as well.<\/p>\n

“I am proud of my staff for taking the initiative in self-producing and sharing their work for the world to see. Striving to improve and dedicating oneself to honing their craft is what truly separates those who dream and those who make their dreams a reality.”<\/p>\n
