The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> has launched a new website to help current and prospective undocumented students navigate the university\u2019s programs, services and resources<\/a>. The website also provides resources for faculty and staff to help ensure that academic opportunities are available to UH<\/abbr>\u2019s undocumented student community from application to graduation. <\/p>\n

“As our state\u2019s only public higher education system we have a deep responsibility to provide high-quality affordable education to advance our people, our communities and our islands,” said UH<\/abbr> President David Lassner<\/strong>. “That mission requires that we support and celebrate diversity, respect and caring. We must support free speech and free expression even as we work to overcome intolerance and prohibit harassment based on immigration status, race, religion, national origin, gender, LGBTQ+<\/abbr> status or disability.”<\/p>\n

The UH<\/abbr> Board of Regents adopted a policy in 2014 that extends eligibility for resident tuition rates to Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> residents who are undocumented, including but not limited to those who have filed for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, also known as DACA<\/abbr><\/a>.<\/p>\n
