The University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa starts the fall semester off with a welcome event featuring great food, live music, prizes, giveaways and more at the 3rd annual Welina Mānoa<\/a>: And the Adventure Begins. The free event is held on Monday, August 26, 3:30–6 p.m.<\/p>\n

“Come join us for an amazing event to kick off the academic year! We know you will learn more about the variety of programs, services and clubs offered at UH<\/abbr> Mānoa,” said Lori Ideta<\/strong>, interim vice chancellor for students. “We are so excited to welcome all of our new and returning students to campus as we celebrate the new school year together!”<\/p>\n

Welina Mānoa, which means welcome to M\u0101noa, features KTUH<\/abbr>\u2019s DJ<\/abbr> Mermaid, UH<\/abbr> Mānoa pep band and cheerleaders and various activities. Students can win a flat-screen HD<\/abbr> TV<\/abbr>, Beats headphones, Oakley sunglasses, gift cards from Amazon, Mānoa Dining Services, Subway and more.<\/p>\n

Held throughout Campus Center, Kuykendall Lawn and Legacy Pathway, the event will also feature a one-stop-shop resource fair highlighting more than 115 student groups, student services, academic departments, community partners and businesses.<\/p>\n
