Commuters who live within three miles of campus are encouraged to consider alternative means of transportation, including walking, as a healthy and sustainable option.<\/p>\n<h2>Rainbow Shuttle<\/h2>\n<p>The Rainbow Shuttle is another sustainable option that <abbr>UH<\/abbr> M\u0101noa makes available at no charge with valid <abbr>UH<\/abbr> <abbr>ID<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some of the routes, stops and times for the Rainbow Shuttle have changed for Fall 2019. <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/commuter\/dayshuttle.php\">View the new schedule<\/a> or visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uhmshuttle.com\/\"><abbr title=\"University of Hawaii at Manoa\">UHM<\/abbr> Shuttle Tracker site<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Shuttle routes travel into M\u0101noa Valley, <span aria-label=\"Moiliili\">M&#333;&#699;ili&#699;ili<\/span>, Kaimuk\u012b and Makiki.<\/li>\n<li>All shuttles are air-conditioned, <abbr title=\"Americans with Disabilities Act\">ADA<\/abbr>-compliant and equipped with bike racks.<\/li>\n<li>Shuttle arrivals may be monitored in real time by downloading the <abbr>UHM<\/abbr> Shuttle Tracker app or visiting the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uhmshuttle.com\/\"><abbr>UHM<\/abbr> Shuttle Tracker site<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>To ride the Rainbow Shuttle, you are required to show a valid <abbr>UH<\/abbr> <abbr>ID<\/abbr>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>For people who bike<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>More than 50 free bike racks on campus.<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/uhmcampusservices.wufoo.com\/forms\/rtswa8u05iwtr2\/\">free and secure bike cage<\/a> in the parking structure.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/commuter\/resources\/MapFiles\/bikeRacks_BikiStations.pdf\">Docked Biki stations<\/a> (<span class=\"small-text\"><abbr title=\"Portable Document Format\">PDF<\/abbr><\/span>) and dockless <a href=\"https:\/\/ridesharee.com\/\">Ride Share<\/a> bike share options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>For those who ride mopeds and motorcycles<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Parking permits are still available for zones on both upper and lower campus.<\/li>\n<li>Permits are $40 per semester and <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/commuter\/mopedsmotorcycles.html\">may be purchased online<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>For students who drive<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>There are 400 carpool permits available for students.<\/li>\n<li>Carpool permit holders will have access to preferred parking stalls.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s a great way to get to campus&#8212;make a friend, reduce your carbon imprint and split costs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Off-campus parking<\/h2>\n<p>When parking off campus, please show your respect for the surrounding community by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Parking in legally designated areas.<\/li>\n<li>Following all state and city laws and ordinances.<\/li>\n<li>Not blocking driveways and roads.<\/li>\n<li>Carpooling whenever possible to reduce the number of parked cars in the area.<\/li>\n<li>Arriving and departing quietly.<\/li>\n<li>Not littering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>More resources<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>If you drive, please understand that up to 26,000 people access our campus daily, filling parking lots and structures to capacity by mid-morning. <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/commuter\/\">Check our website<\/a> or social media accounts (<a
