Robin Arndt<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A University of Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> at Mānoa<\/a> faculty member has been appointed to the board of directors<\/a> of the National Association of Social Workers<\/a> (NASW<\/abbr>). Robin Arndt<\/strong>, who joined the Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work<\/a> in 2013, is the school’s coordinator of field and continuing education.<\/p>\n

“We are fortunate to have Robin serve as the Region XII<\/abbr> representative,” said Dean Noreen Mokuau<\/strong>. “He will be a strong advocate for the needs of social workers and will represent the school, university and profession well.”<\/p>\n

NASW<\/abbr> is the world’s largest professional organization of social workers. Arndt will represent social workers in Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span>, Alaska, Colorado, Guam, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.<\/p>\n

Arndt previously served as president of the NASW<\/abbr> Â鶹´«Ã½<\/span> chapter<\/a>. In June, he was reappointed to the Commission on Membership and Professional Development with the Council on Social Work Education<\/a>.<\/p>\n
