For the first time in more than a decade, Kauaʻi Community College is proud to host a campus-wide career fair on Thursday, April 2, 2026. This event is designed to provide students, recent graduates, and alumni with a dedicated "safe space" to transition from the classroom to the professional world.

“It is vital that our students have a concrete plan before they leave college,” said Career Services Counselor Melissa Henry. “We want our students to do more than just find a job; we want them to have a career. Our goal is to connect them with employers who offer entry-level opportunities with clear paths for advancement, allowing our graduates to secure the wages necessary to live and thrive right here on KauaŹ»i.”

The first hour, from noon to 1 p.m., will be allocated to students and Kauaʻi CC alumni for priority access. Students can also connect with the career services department for information on resume writing, job interviewing and job search skills. The general public is welcome to attend from 1-4 p.m.

“This career fair is an incredible opportunity for our students, especially those preparing to graduate, to connect directly with employers and explore the next steps in their professional journeys,” Chancellor Margaret Sanchez said. “We will also open our doors as a resource to our community to support our island's future workforce."

KauaŹ»i CC faculty members were instrumental in hand-selecting a majority of the participating employers to ensure that every academic program—from trades to healthcare to business—is represented by industry partners.

Event Highlights:

  • Student & Alumni Exclusive Hour (12–1 p.m.): A private session for KauaŹ»i CC students and graduates to engage deeply with recruiters and faculty.
  • General Public Session (1–4 p.m.): The doors open to the broader KauaŹ»i community, connecting local job seekers with more than 30 premier employers.
  • On-Site Resources: Access to computer labs for immediate application submission and private rooms for on-the-spot interviews.

“We want to empower our students to stay on KauaŹ»i,” Henry said. “By bringing these employers to them, we are ensuring that the talent we grow at KauaŹ»i CC stays on KauaŹ»i to strengthen our community and our economy.”
