A free information session about the University of HawaiÊ»i Maui College’s Applied Business and Information Technology (ABIT) Program’s online and hybrid degrees will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Kaua‘i Community College Business Building, Room 102. Professor and ABIT Program Coordinator Debasis Bhattacharya will lead the session along with ABIT faculty Vincent Domingo and ABIT Counselor Linda Fujitani. Refreshments will be served. Sign up for this event .

Broadly speaking, ABIT focuses on business, technology and entrepreneurship.

“Our goal is to expose folks on Kaua‘i to all the things they can learn in this program that they can apply to their own local economy,” said Bhattacharya. “Capstone projects can be tailored specifically to students’ needs. Even folks who choose to take a course or two—rather than embark on a degree track—will find they can apply what they learn to jobs on KauaÊ»i.”

The information session is open to all.

“We hope there will be significant interest from high school students thinking about college, current Kaua‘i Community College students, adult learners and employers,” Bhattacharya said.
