Free CTAHR seedling sharing and garden education

Home gardeners are invited to a community seedling sharing and educational event hosted by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience (CTAHR), on Wednesday, January 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Pearl City.

Attendees will get lettuce seedlings ready for planting, and cuttings from traditional Hawaiian lei plants such as plumeria, pikake and crown flowers will be available. People can also get advice and individual tutoring from CTAHR staff.

  • Where: Urban Garden Center, 955 Kamehameha Highway, Pearl City, HI 96782 (behind the Public Storage building)

Limited parking is available and ridesharing is encouraged.

Attendees are encouraged to wear shoes, bring water and be prepared for rain or shine. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult supervisor. All participants must sign a 鶹ýliability waiver.
