How should Honolulu’s buildings be redesigned to survive rising tides? The public is invited to explore innovative methods for elevating structures and share their feedback on future design ideas for the city during the virtual session, Elevating Buildings for Future Sea Level Rise, hosted by the University of HawaiÊ»i Sea Grant College Program and the School of Architecture on January 16.

The event is hosted by the Center for Smart Building and Community Design, the Environmental Research and Design Lab and the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology.
