Bri Gunderson, Adrianna Arquette, Victoria Leyva and Miliana Sylvester

Four members of the University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on December 16, recognizing their excellence on the court and in the classroom.

Senior Bri Gunderson and sophomores Adrianna Arquette, Victoria Leyva and Miliana Sylvester earned honors on the NCAA Division I list. Academic All-District recipients must maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and meet participation requirements during the season.

Arquette, a setter majoring in business, started all 29 matches and recorded 10 double-doubles and two triple-doubles. Gunderson, a communications major, led the team in total blocks while earning All-Big West Second Team honors. Leyva, a molecular and cell biology major, led the team in digs and posted one of the top defensive seasons in program history. Sylvester, a public health major, finished second on the team in blocks while contributing offensively at the net.

The honorees will advance to consideration for the CSC Academic All-America Team, with first, second and third-team selections set to be announced on January 13.
