Milan Bukovics competing

University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at Mānoa swimmer Milan Bukovics was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Male Athlete of the Week on October 18, following his performances at the season-opening USC Invitational on October 13–14 in Los Angeles.

Bukovics, a junior from Budapest, Hungary, turned in two NCAA Division-I Top-15 swims during the meet to earn his first MPSF weekly award. He won the 400 Individual Medley (IM) in a personal best 3 minutes, 50.69 seconds, the No. 10 fastest time in the nation this season and the third best in program history. Bukovics¡¯ previous best in the event was 3:51.69 set in November 2022.

Bukovics also finished fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:47.76, which ranks No. 15in the country, and placed third in the 200 fly with a time of 1:47.44.
