For the second year in a row, the University of Â鶹´«Ã½ has been named one of Â鶹´«Ã½¡¯s best employers by Forbes. UH placed 9th in the annual rankings, released on August 24. The university system employs approximately 9,000 people statewide across its 10 campuses.

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to compile their list. Statista surveyed 70,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees. The respondents rated their employers on safety of work environment, competitiveness of compensation, opportunities for advancement and openness to telecommuting and asked how likely they would recommend their employer to others. The final list ranks the 1,382 employers that received the most recommendations.
