Two staff members were recognized as young business professionals who are making a difference in the workplace and shaping the future of our community. Kimberly Perez Hults and Bianca Mordasini were selected among the best in 2021 by (PBN). This is the 22nd year PBN has selected its 40 Under 40 list.

Criteria for the award include:

  • Demonstrate business excellence and contribute to the overall success at his or her business or organization
  • Stand out amongst peers and colleagues
  • Strong current and past community involvement
  • Must be 39 years of age or younger

Perez Hults is the director of marketing and outreach relations for the . Working under the dean and as part of the leadership team, she is responsible for developing and executing the college’s strategic marketing plan, which includes communications, media support, major event planning, external relations, recruitment, K–12 outreach and the student ambassador program. Outside of her role at the university, she also supports her family’s small business for watersports instruction and recently co-launched a nonprofit club to develop emerging windsports athletes in Âé¶¹´«Ã½.

“Being honored as a 40 Under 40 has long been a dream of mine,” Perez Hults said. “I’m beyond humbled to be included in this cohort of amazing local professionals spanning a diverse range of industries. I am proud to represent UH in the 2021 class and will forever be grateful for this recognition.”

Mordasini is the senior director of alumni and external relations for the . She is responsible for overseeing alumni relations for the Shidler College and , in addition to the college¡¯s overall marketing, public relations, fundraising and college events, as well as outreach and communications. Outside of work, she serves on the ¡¯s Young Professionals steering committee and is a certified yoga instructor.

“It is truly an honor and privilege to be recognized among some of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¡¯s most promising young professionals,” Mordasini said. “I am sincerely humbled by the nomination, and wish a heartfelt congratulations to my fellow 40 Under 40 2021 cohort. I look forward to seeing all the great things this group will accomplish!”
