Â鶹´«Ã½ ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ men¡¯s volleyball earns AVCA coaches poll top spot

The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ at ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ ascended to the top spot in this week¡¯s AVCA Coaches Top 15 poll, leapfrogging previous No. 1 BYU, who dropped to No. 2 this week.

The Rainbow Warriors (4-0) received 15 of the 16 first place votes and 239 total points. BYU received the other first place vote and is No. 2 followed by No. 3 Pepperdine, No. 4 UC Santa Barbara and No. 5 Lewis.

UH also holds the No. 1 ranking in the Off the Block Media Poll. The Warriors either held the top spot outright or shared it for the past three weeks.

Â鶹´«Ã½successfully opened its season by winning all four matches on the road last week, comprising consecutive two-match series sweeps of UC Irvine and UC San Diego.
