More information is now available on the planning for the safe reopening of the University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ campus and the resumption of in-person instruction. Web pages on the are posted and will be updated regularly. The fall semester is scheduled to begin on August 24.

“We must complete our preparations and announce our plans for the start of the semester well before this date, tentatively on or before June 30,” said UH ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ Provost Michael Bruno in a June 1 campuswide message. “Throughout the coming weeks and months, we will be guided by our healthcare and medical sciences professionals.”

The commitment to resume in-person instruction at UH?s 10 campuses was announced on May 3. The UH ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ campus announced the formation of an overall coordination committee and the eight working teams on May 11. The areas of responsibility for the working teams are student learning, student and residence life, first-year students, research, business processes, communications and space planning, preparation and utilization.

“Of primary importance is the health and safety of our employees and our students,” said Bruno in the May 11 message to the campus announcing the coordinating committee and working teams. “With respect and compassion for our community, we will make our decisions based on the best science and data available. We will also be guided by our firm commitment to provide the best possible learning experience for our students, while continuing our essential world-class research, scholarship and service to our home, Âé¶¹´«Ã½.”
