, a report reflecting the beliefs, views and opinions of about 100 Â鶹´«Ã½ Island residents about the future of Maunakea, is now available to the public.

The report is the result of planning and coordination meetings along with 15 ʻAha K¨±k¨¡ or listening sessions along with written and website submissions dating back to 2015. Meetings were held in Hilo, Kona, Waimea and North Kohala.
“EnVision Maunakea was designed as a community-based initiative to gather a wide range of perspectives on the mountain¡¯s future and put these valuable insights in the hands of decision-makers. This process was intended to inform policy and regulatory actions that will deeply impact the entire mountain,” according to the report¡¯s introduction.
