Mālama Maunakea volunteers pulling fireweed and other invasive plant species around Halep¨­haku.

The plans to install an approximately 375-square-foot greenhouse for propagation of native plants to be used in its restoration activities.

This greenhouse was described in the recently published (PDF).

Restoration efforts include removing invasive species such as fireweed. Since 2012 more than 1,100 volunteers have filled more than 1,800 garbage with invasive weeds pulled from the Halep¨­haku area.
