The people have spoken! was selected for Best Career/Technical Education and the was named Best College in the released on Sunday, June 18.
Also recognized as Âé¶¹´«Ã½¡¯s Best were second and third on the career/technical education list and UH Hilo second on the college list. also won second place in the live theater category.

“I’m so proud of winning these awards for three years in a row!” said Chancellor Manny Cabral. “Our workforce development continues to expand in both credit and non-credit areas. Being selected as Âé¶¹´«Ã½¡¯s Best is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of everyone at the college. We¡¯re also thrilled for the second place award for our theatre, which is currently undergoing a long-awaited renovation.”
Dean of Leeward’s Ron Umehira added, “Our appreciation goes out to all those that voted for Leeward CC and recognized the quality of programs.”
