When the news first came out of this wonderful blessing, I was soon verrry happy about the news.

I have a Kanaka Maoli, (Native Hawaiian), husband. 9 Hawaiian Children, and 19 Kanaka, (Hawaiian) moopuna. (2 more coming).

I have taught at Hawaiian Immersion on Kauaʻi, Punana Leo of Kauaʻi, and Hiilei Program,(Kamehameha), Kamehameha Preschool Anahola, as well as Sunday School at The Kapaa First Hawaiian Church, (Where I was married), and at kakoo Calvary Chapel Kauaʻi.

The Hawaiian Culture and especially Language is my heartbeat next to Family and Iesu.

In the 33 years plus that I have been teaching/serving without Certification, IT NEVER occurred TO ME that I must be certified by an American entity to educate in
ʻOlelo Hawaii.

I wish that I could attend the programs that you folks are NOW signing up for.

Now, at 52, I have just completed my Hawaiian Associates Degree on Kauaʻi. I am NOW going to finish earning my Early Childhood Degree by Spring, 2017. God Willing.

THEN the “proof” will be in the PALAPALA. Even though I have the NAAUAO inside, we have to do what keeps the Native Kamalii up and up with the rest of the world. They deserve it and it is due to them.

YOUR MAU PALAPALA will enable The KANAKA to HOOULU I KA NAAU PONO a Ka LOKOMAIKAI..

E HOLOMUA OUKOU I KA IMI ʻIKE I KA HAAHAA, KA PAAHANA, KA POOKELA, KA HOIHI, KA MANAOLANA, KA NAAUAO, KA MAIAU, KE KUPAA, KA OIAIO, A me KE ALOHA.

Iesu pu, aloha.
