Hawaii Rainbow Warrior Football is never going to be
cost neutral, much less ever ever operating in
the black. Let’s be honest,
UH-Manoa cannot Afford
Football – we fiscally barely can meet its obligations to offer our students a good college education.
It’s time to admit to the sobering
reality and take this opportunity.
June Jones coming back isn’t
going to change the fact that there
isn’t enough money to support
a winning or losing program.
The Â鶹´«Ã½sports mission is to offer better and diverse sports programming that gives more UH-Manoa student athletes high quality opportunities. UH-Manoa football is an unsustainable pipe dream from a bygone era of magical thinking.
It’s irresponsible to continue to generate far-fetched plans and schemes that create more debt while Â鶹´«Ã½Manoa as an institution is financially a sinking “flagship.”

Perhaps it is time some large changes were made within the failing Â鶹´«Ã½administration and the people responsible for the many failings are held accountable for them? By all accounts Norm knew what he was doing until he arrived at UH.

More money flushed down the drain and this is at a University that is suffering under a massive budget deficit, looks like students and tax payers will pick up the tab, again.
