Take a virtual tour of a haunted graveyard, explore the science behind magic and illusions, dine at the Village Cafe o’ Terror and more at ’s Haunted Village, taking place Friday, October 30, 6–8:30 p.m. The imaginarium event at will be a Halloween treat for the entire family.

Haunted Village activities

  • Imaginarium show, “Nightwalk”
    Take a virtual tour of a haunted graveyard, where you’ll walk at the speed of fright! This 15-minute show features the 3D, animated magic of the imaginarium. Audiences will be guided on a nightwalk down a creepy crypt and into a haunted mansion filled with bats, ghosts and spooky things that go BOO! in the night.
  • Haunted Village Commons
    Complete with graveyard, torch lights, gargantuan inflatables, illuminary walkways and other spooky scenes. FREE.
  • Dr. Phrankenstein’s Phantom Physics Lab
    Explore the science behind magic and illusions. This Halloween science lab spotlights hands-on activities and optical demonstrations. FREE.
  • The Paliku Players
    Join our “way-out” Windward CC theater students in Halloween mischief and antics…they’ll leave you breathless. FREE.
  • Knightly Combat
    Watch from the safety of the sidelines as members of the Society for Creative Anachronism battle in full knightly armor. FREE.
  • Face Painting
    Don’t have a costume? We’ll draw one for you. A fundraiser for Phi Theta Kappa. Donation.
  • It’s Alive! The Return of Famous Monsters of Filmland
    Steven Fredrick, a local film historian, hosts a journey through the dark side of vintage horror films. This program features terrorizing scenes from cinema thrillers, including the un-dead brought back to life. FREE.
  • Halloween Light Show Theater
    Relax a spell in the Village’s Outdoor Light Show Theater. Continuously running eerie lights cast nightly. FREE.
  • Spooky Storytelling Corner
    A special place where villagers gather for an extreme makeover of chicken skin and goose bumps. Storyteller: Larry Wiss. FREE.
  • Costume Contest
    Sponsored by ASUH-WCC student government. Dress up to win prizes in three categories: cutest, scariest and most creative. Three prizes will be awarded in each category for each of the following age groups: 0–5, 6–9, 10–15, 16-and-up. Judging from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. Awards ceremony from 7:45 to 8 p.m. FREE, plus candy for all in costume.
  • The Wizards of Alchemy
    Visit the village’s lab assistants gone amock with smoke-filled demonstrations in chemistry. Presented by the Windward CC Chemistry Club. FREE.
  • Pumpkin Carving Display
    Visit the Village’s display of award-winning Jack-o’-Lanterns. Crafted by the Village people…but you can bring your own, if you dare. FREE.
  • Phantom Food Booth
    Enjoy a Friday night eating adventure at our Village Cafe o’ Terror. Spam musubi, hot dogs, teriburgers, drinks and other delicious morsel treats for mortals. Prices vary.
