White-boards on every wall and projection capacity for student access would be great. We have been promoting student-centered work in foreign language education for years. Way to go, Steve (Robinow)!

Hi Tony!

I liked your reply! And would like to say that employers are looking for applicants who are team players. The above article addresses the very important basics to achieving this very important sought after abiliy in skilled individuals.

“Master it, and if you can see it, you can definitely be it!”

Much success!

I is so refreshing to here that finally students will have the opportunity to inject their minds with simultaneously being provided the hands on approach to a very desperately needs user-friendly style of learning. And better yet, as 鶹ýMānoa Biology Interim Chair and Professor Steven Robinow states,an instructor knows of his teachings, but the real goal is to encourage student learning by having them interact with one another, and to not just listen to the teacher. And so coming from a work place environment where our employer advocates “Team Work” as a means to an end, this concept shows a very badly needed revamping of how an individual learns best, expecially when it comes to applying techniques and retaining well written material conducive to learning.

I am most excited in learning about the study being tested and applied on 鶹ýCampuses! And for that reason, and the fact that on-line learning has become more popular, I have chosen to return back to college to further my education and obtain needed training skills.

Mahalo for posting!

It makes learning a whole lot more fulfilling. I have to agree with Dr. Robinow that teaching a student solely by lecturing simply will not cut it. I do not think that listening to someone for 50 minutes for 3 times in a week and expect for something to be retained. This strategy promotes the idea of working together, whether it is among students or a professor.
