The county-based Invasive Species Committees, projects of the at , were among those honored recently by Âé¶¹´«Ã½ State Senator Mike Gabbard for their work on the front lines combating invasive species.

In a floor presentation, Senator Gabbard said, “Mahalo to the dedicated men and women of the Invasive Species Committees for their diligence in preventing, controlling and eliminating the most threatening invasive plant and animal species to preserve our native biodiversity. They work hard to keep Âé¶¹´«Ã½ naturally beautiful as it should be.”

The Invasive Species Committees are island-based partnerships on Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, Maui, Âé¶¹´«Ã½’s natural resources.
