{"id":528,"date":"2019-12-10T19:46:59","date_gmt":"2019-12-10T19:46:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/myuhinfo\/?page_id=528"},"modified":"2020-02-05T00:29:26","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T00:29:26","slug":"course-syllabi-fac","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/myuhinfo\/course-syllabi-fac\/","title":{"rendered":"Course Syllabi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>(NOTE: Access to the publish your syllabi is not available during regularly scheduled maintenance activities that occur daily between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Faculty have the option of publishing their course syllabi in Class Availability for students to access.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go\u00a0to <a title=\"MyUH\" href=\"https:\/\/myuh.hawaii.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MyUH<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Search for the &#8220;<strong>Faculty Services Menu<\/strong>&#8221; task by entering text in the search bar, then ENTER.<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;<strong>Faculty Services Menu<\/strong>&#8221; task will appear in the Search Results section. Click on the task. You will see the following screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rteindent1\" style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Faculty Details Schedule Screenshot\" src=\"http:\/\/myuhinfo.hawaii.edu\/sites\/myuhinfo.hawaii.edu\/files\/images\/Faculty%20Detail%20Schedule%20Syllabus.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"832\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Syllabus Information<\/strong> page is where you can enter the following course information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Course URL &#8211; this must be entered with the http: prefix for proper web navigation.<\/li>\n<li>Learning Objectives<\/li>\n<li>Required Materials<\/li>\n<li>Technical Requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Formatting Tips:<\/strong><\/div>\n<p class=\"rteindent1\">Formatting options are limited with\u00a0direct entry or copying from\u00a0a word processing document.\u00a0If you have your information in html, you may copy and paste and the formatting will be preserved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rteindent1\">\u00a0Use simple html formatting tags &lt;&gt;\u00a0to format your entry for easier reading.\u00a0 Most tags have a start tag &lt;&gt; and an end tag &lt;\/&gt;, eg. &lt;p&gt; and &lt;\/p&gt;.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"rteindent1\">&lt;p&gt;text between these tags are a paragraph&lt;\/p&gt;<\/li>\n<li class=\"rteindent1\">&lt;p&gt;this would be another paragraph with a blank line between the two paragraphs&lt;\/p&gt;<\/li>\n<li class=\"rteindent1\">&lt;br&gt; is a line break within a paragraph.\u00a0 This one does not have an end tag.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rteindent1\">&lt;ol&gt; is an ordered list of items with each item\u00a0entered between &lt;li&gt; and &lt;\/li&gt;tags\u00a0&lt;\/ol&gt;\u00a0Ordered lists will appear with each list item numbered sequentially.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rteindent1\">&lt;ul&gt; is an unordered list of items with each item entered between &lt;li&gt; and\u00a0 &lt;\/li&gt; tags &lt;\/ul&gt;\u00a0 Unordered lists will appear with each list item bulleted.\u00a0 See example below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rteindent1\" style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Formatting Screenshot\" src=\"http:\/\/myuhinfo.hawaii.edu\/sites\/myuhinfo.hawaii.edu\/files\/images\/Syllabus%20html.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"713\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After you have entered each field, click\u00a0<strong>Submit<\/strong>.
