(NOTE: Registration Overrides are not available during regularly scheduled maintenance activities that occur daily between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.)<\/em><\/p>\n

What are Registration Overrides?<\/strong><\/a>
\nRegistration overrides allow faculty to grant exceptions to registration restrictions (missing prerequisites, corequisites, wrong major, class full, time conflict, etc.) or special approval for a particular student.<\/p>\n

Who can Grant Overrides?<\/strong>
\nFaculty that are\u00a0designated the primary <\/strong><\/em>instructor for the class\u00a0may grant overrides only for their own classes.\u00a0 Authorized administrative staff may also enter overrides directly into Banner.<\/p>\n

How do\u00a0I View Students with Overrides for My Classes?<\/strong>
\nYou may access the Registration Overrides Summary<\/a> screen from the Faculty Main Menu and view overrides for any class you are scheduled to teach.<\/p>\n

When Should an Override be Made?<\/strong>
\nOverrides should be inputted in the system\u00a0before<\/strong> the student attempts to register for the class.<\/p>\n

What Information do I Need in Order to Enter an Override?<\/strong>
\nYou will need to know the student’s ID number or Â鶹´«Ã½username, the CRN (course reference number), and the type of override needed.<\/p>\n

What Types of Overrides are Available?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
General Overrides\/Permits *<\/span><\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Capacity Override<\/td>\nThis overrides the enrollment limit on your class<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Corequisite Override<\/td>\nThis allows a student to enroll in your\u00a0class without the required corequisite<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Major Override<\/td>\nThis allows a student with a major other than the required major to enroll<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Prerequisite Override<\/td>\nThis allows a student to enroll in your class without the required prerequisite<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Repeat Hours<\/td>\nThis allows a student to repeat a class<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Special Approval<\/td>\nThis allows a student to enroll in\u00a0your class that requires special approval<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Time Conflict<\/td>\nThis allows a student to enroll in your class even if the time conflicts with another class<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
\u00a0 *<\/span><\/strong> Â鶹´«Ã½M\u0101noa<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0& Â鶹´«Ã½Hilo<\/a><\/strong> have established campus-specific overrides. Faculty teaching at these campuses should use and not General Overrides.<\/em><\/div>\n
