The <\/span>Presidential\u00a0 Proclamation of November 26, 2021<\/span><\/a> restricts entry of travelers who were physically present in <\/span>Botswana,<\/b> Eswatini<\/b>, <\/span>Lesotho<\/b>, <\/span>Malawi<\/b>, <\/span>Mozambique<\/b>, <\/span>Namibia<\/b>, <\/span>South Africa <\/b>and <\/span>Zimbabwe<\/b> during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry into the US. The travel ban will not apply to American citizens and lawful permanent residents but they will need to show a negative coronavirus test before coming to the US.<\/span><\/p>\n

This proclamation is effective from Monday, November 29, 2021, and operates in addition to the <\/span>November 8, 2021 vaccination requirement<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

November 26, 2021, the Biden Administration announces restrictions on travel from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique and Malawi starting Monday, November 29, 2021 as the new Omicron COVID-19 variant emerges.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Travelers from these regions will be prohibited from coming to the U.S. The travel ban will not apply to American citizens and lawful permanent residents but they will need to show a negative coronavirus test before coming to the US. This is a breaking story. We will update it as more information is known.<\/span><\/p>\n
