The travel restrictions will take effect <\/span><b>June 9, 2025, at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Full Ban Countries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Entry as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">immigrants and nonimmigrants<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> fully suspended):<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Afghanistan, Burma (Myanmar), Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Partial Ban Countries: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(Entry as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">immigrants and on B-1, B-2, F, M, and J visas<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> suspended):<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, Venezuela.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The proclamation primarily applies to nationals of the designated countries who are outside the U.S. and do NOT have a valid visa on the effective date of June 9, 2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are <\/span><b>likely<\/b> <b>not affected<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by this ban if you are<\/span><b>:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inside the U.S. on June 9, 2025<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Outside the U.S. but hold a valid visa issued before June 9, 2025<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The proclamation states that no visa issued before June 9, 2025 will be revoked solely due to this proclamation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are a national from one of the listed countries, the new travel restrictions may directly affect your ability to enter the U.S. Please seek guidance with ISS before finalizing your travel plans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Resources:<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/fact-sheets\/2025\/06\/fact-sheet-president-donald-j-trump-restricts-the-entry-of-foreign-nationals-to-protect-the-united-states-from-foreign-terrorists-and-other-national-security-and-public-safety-threats\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">White House Fact Sheet on the Proclamation<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nafsa.org\/regulatory-information\/presidential-proclamation-orders-travel-bans-19-countries\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NAFSA: Presidential Proclamation Orders Travel Bans on 19 Countries<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Disclaimer:<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The information contained in this resource is intended to provide general guidance.
