She is a second-year MA student in the Department of Second Language Studies at the University of Hawai\u02bbi at M\u0101noa, where she also earned her bachelor\u2019s degree in Second Language Studies. During her undergraduate studies, Kallen taught English in Thailand, focusing on effective speaking and listening. Her academic interests include multilingualism, teacher identity, pedagogical materials development, and Hawai\u02bbi Creole (Pidgin). This semester, she is also providing administrative support for the SLS undergraduate program. She began teaching English in South Korea to students with different levels, from elementary school students to adult learners. Seungeun has also engaged in ESL teaching in higher education settings, assisting international students in undergraduate courses which aimed to improve their English speaking skills. In addition to her teaching experience, her intellectual interests revolve around second language acquisition, World Englishes, and task-based language teaching\/assessment. Beyond academics, she enjoys watching Korean reality television series and walking while listening to music.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

She is especially interested in English and Korean phonology, English literature and communications, and Project-Based Language Learning.
