Since 1986, the Interdisciplinary CIS Program at the University of Hawai\u2018i at M\u0101noa has been characterized by a distinguished list of scholars and practitioners focusing on the interdisciplinary study of ICTs in their broader social, political, economic contexts. The pervasiveness of \u201cinformation\u201d has led to growing interdisciplinary research, with fruitful intersections among many natural and social scientific disciplines, as well as those in business, the arts and humanities, biomedical sciences, and law. This conference, hosted by the Communication and Information Sciences Program, highlights current and emerging research in the Internet technology, management, and policy space. These issues are highly interdisciplinary in nature, requiring a variety of disciplinary and methodological approaches. Example areas include: social networking platforms, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, quantum computing, big data, mobile networks, information and communication technology for development (ICTD), and the ethics of algorithms, to name a few.
