Sky\u2019s accomplishment highlights the many outstanding teacher-scholars present in the CIS program.<\/p>\n<p>He will be honored during the <em>M\u0101noa Awards Ceremony<\/em> in Orvis Auditorium on May 1, 2017, at 4 pm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">A description of the award, from the Office of Graduate Education:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Frances Davis Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Graduate teaching assistants play a significant role in facilitating the learning of undergraduate students at the University of Hawai\u2018i at M\u0101noa (UHM). Established in memory of the late Ms. Frances Davis, who taught mathematics at both UHM and at the Leeward Community College for 19 years, the Frances Davis Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching for a Graduate Teaching Assistant recognizes excellence in undergraduate teaching.
