How do I add Â鶹´«Ã½Login to my online service?
Many online services used at the University of Â鶹´«Ã½ rely on Â鶹´«Ã½Login to provide a secure single sign-on (SSO) to allow access to their resources.
The Â鶹´«Ã½Login service facilitates this by handling logins with a consistent process familiar to users without the risk of the applications or service providers (SP) having to handle dangerous credentials such as passwords themselves. Â鶹´«Ã½Login may also provide additional information about a user to the applications or SPs as required.
IMPORTANT: If user information is being provided to an external 3rd party, Â鶹´«Ã½policy requires a Data Governance Process (DGP). The DGP request must be submitted prior to implementing the Â鶹´«Ã½Login integration. The DGP and Â鶹´«Ã½Login integration requests must be made by a Â鶹´«Ã½faculty or staff member. Once the DGP is approved we may proceed with implementing Â鶹´«Ã½Login integration.
Requesting a Â鶹´«Ã½Login integration is a two-step process:
- Submit a Data Governance Process Request: (Â鶹´«Ã½Login Required)
- Request integrations with Â鶹´«Ã½Login: (Â鶹´«Ã½Login Required)
Contact the Data Governance Office at for data governance policy assistance and the ITS Identity & Access Management group at for technical implementation assistance.
